A Matter of Choice

Its interesting to observe the decsion making of different Individuals. Let me throw a question to begin with. Supposingly if you are given a proposition that you can have 2 packets of Lays Chips of your favorite flavour now or if you ignore it you can get 4 packets of the same a day after. Now if this isn't exact and real situation you may be temped to say that you would go for 4 packets next day. But if a day after you are again told that if you wait for another day you can get 6 packets, What will you do?

The answer doesnt connotates that there is a flaw in choosing but the same depends on a greater extent on the personality which evolves in a period of time. Short term gratification is easy and gives immediate pleasure. Thats why long battles makes the opponents weary on a mental level, ofcourse physical friction is there. So perseverance is a test of the character and the one who can adjust to it has an extra point.

Science if applied has very beautiful insights which do come handy a lot of times. Some time before i had attended a conference which had witnessed very imminent speakers ranging from HR heads from various industries. Their common emphasis to skill development was the unique ability of a leader to handle ambiguity.

Ambiquity generally inflicts in form of a sudden change in a variety of ways which many of us might have experienced. For eg. You lose fuel on a deserted highway in the middle of the night or a sudden act of voilence or treachery from a confidante etc.

As a matter of fact we generally resist change and sometimes even if it is for our own good. See the automobile industy .
